Sunday School
Our Sunday School has a Crèche (up to 4 years old), a Primary group (4 – 8 years old) and a Junior group (8-12s).
We meet every Sunday, staying in church for the first part of the service then leaving to go to our own classes for Bible teaching aimed at our own age groups. Our Bible sessions include songs, Bible teaching, activities and games. We follow the Go Teach materials but, also, plan our own lessons and activities to inspire and engage our youngsters.
At Tottenham Baptist, we have a lively, lovely group of children who come regularly as well as those who attend whenever they can: for example, when visiting family.
Our children and young people join our church family for Communion every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month where they receive a blessing from our pastor. We all stay in church on the first Sunday of the month for a family service.
We celebrate our Sunday School anniversary each year (we are 185 years old this year in 2016!) and this is an exciting time when the children and young people in the Youth Group lead the service from beginning to end taking part in various ways.
We hold a Light Party on 31st October which is always a fun time including art / crafts, songs, Bible teaching, games and, of course, food! This is a popular event and is a great way to share Jesus - the light of the world and the light of our lives!
One of the highlights of our year is our Nativity Service which is led by the Sunday School and Youth Group. This always takes place the Sunday before Christmas. We join the Girls’ Brigade to enjoy a Christmas party in December.
